A Kinder Smile
We easily take for granted something as simple as visiting the dentist for a cleaning – we may delay appointments, or even avoid them altogether. But what really is a simple task for us – that we simply do not prefer – can be unbearable or frightening those living with disabilities.
From understanding treatment to the physical demands of lying in a chair, keeping their mouths open for a prolonged amount of time – patients living with disabilities face additional challenges to dental hygiene that we normally wouldn’t even consider.
Luckily for some, clinics such as the Marshfield clinic exist, with excellent and understanding staff that truly individualizes the experience for all of their patients.
